We are delighted to announce HUZZAH 2026 will take place from 15 to 17 May 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, South Portland Maine. Its a great venue and we will have over 6 rooms full of games for the full weekend!
Huzzah! The Revolution!
Not only is the theme for 2026 an homage to the revolution of 1776 – 250 years ago – it also calls out how revolutions are points of change! Our theme challenges our game masters to provide terrific gaming adventures for everyone who attends. Whether the games recall the multitude of historical events from the revolution that founded the USA, to the Mexican, French, or Russian revolutions, the steam punk industrial revolution, or even the revolushun’ run by da Red Gobbo!, Huzzah 2026 will be exciting! Make your travel plans for May – the greatest month for all revolutions and wargaming!
Game Masters will be asked to indicate on submission whether their game is a themed game. All themed games will compete for best of session and best of convention trophies.
Also at Huzzah, attendees can compete in our painting competition! Judged Saturday afternoon by our panel of volunteers, its a great time to show off some skills! Watch for details on the award classes.
Huzzah 2026 will again be managed through TableTop Events. Our event is there!

- We always need more vendors! The charter of MHWA is to support the hobby – and this means supporting our vendors! Huzzah gives you the opportunity to meet our huge gaming community and interact with historical, fantasy, and science fiction genre gamers. We welcome returning and new vendors each year.
GAME MASTERS! Game submissions are the backbone of Huzzah! We can make accommodations for large games and tournament events – please register them early so we can modify our space layouts.

VENDORS! Vendors can select their table space requirements – We work hard to get you a great space – if you are running a game, let us know, and we can make sure the game space is close or adjacent to your vendor space. (Hey, if you’ve read this far, note that Vendors are included in our Newsletters throughout the year, make sure your contact information is up-to-date!)
HOTEL SPACE! We look to have the hotel blocks open with your convention codes before December 15th.
You can book your rooms at our special convention rate through 10 April 2026 as long as supply lasts. These rooms are booked through the hotel – not MHWA – by their links. NOTE – their rates begin Thursday night – and reservation settings default to Thursday – MAKE SURE YOU RESERVE THE NIGHTS YOU NEED!
BADGE SALES will open in February (or January if we get ahead of ourselves)!
Badge Sales for Huzzah will be through the Tabletop Events site. Make sure to purchase the correct badge at TableTop Events! If possible – use your smart phone to register, select your badge, pre-buy merchandise, and ultimately select your session tickets. This will allow you to use your device throughout the event to make changes if needed.
Ticketing (creating your schedule of games to play) will open when we have reached a certain goal for games to list. We will let you know when that happens!
Watch out as we are still developing merchandise options. We hope to include a convention bag, convention dice set, convention hat, convention mini, and many more goodies provided by our sponsors. Details soon!
BOXED LUNCH AVAILABLE on SATURDAY
We are arranging for the venue to provide a lunch offering as they did in 2025. Details when available, or at the event. In 2025 the hotel did not require advance purchases or a head count – and it was terrific.
HUZZAH FLEA MARKET
We are holding our annual flea market on Sunday, 17 May from 09.00 am to 1:00 pm. One table per vendor for just $5. Tables must be purchased via TableTopEvents and added to your badge. Only 10 tables are available, first come-first serve. No commercial vendors. No onsite purchase of tables.
